Strawberry White Chocolate Treats
These will become the talked-about thing at your next ‘can you bring something sweet?’ get-together. Flavor-wise, we’re blessed with the tartness of freeze-dried strawberries playfully flirting with sugary white chocolate. And we all love a chewy, marshmallow-based treat. At the end of the day, these are just fucking pretty. Please remember, I am not a big measurer so ingredients below are approximations; measure with your heart and your tongue. Enjoy, favorites!
MVP Ingredients: Freeze-dried strawberries
Kitchen Weapon of Choice: Your goddamn hands
Ingredients
5-6 C crisped rice cereal
1 package mini marshmallows (10 oz)
1 stick of butter
2-3 C freeze dried strawberries
1-2 C white chocolate chips
Pinch of salt to taste
Cooking spray of choice
Directions
Spray or grease a 9x13 baking dish or pan generously.
Melt butter low and slow, add in salt and marshmallows until melted, stirring often.
Add in cereal and strawberries until combined.
Flatten the mixture into the pan. Pro tip: Spray some oil or use butter on your hands to make the flattening process less sticky (Mom taught me this)! Allow to cool.
Melt white chocolate in the microwave, or with a double boiler.
Drizzle or use a spatula to spread melted chocolate over the pan of treats, and allow to cool and harden before cutting into squares.
